Manuel was born on May 6th, 1951, in Quinta Normal. He went to the emblematic “Experimental Lyceum Darío Salas”, and once out of school, he studied sociology at the “U. de Concepción”, where he participated in the “Socialist Youth” and the FECECH. During the dictatorship, he stayed in Chile with the resistance. In 1976 he escaped with other young people to Mendoza, where he was arrested on April 3rd, victim of the “Condor Operation”. That was the last thing anybody knew about him.
