Vicente was a socialist militant and was arrested at the age of 19, along with his spouse Karin Reimer Carrasco, by members of the DINA on April 30th, 1977, in San Fernando. They were transferred to Santiago, blindfolded, and confined to an enclosure of characteristics that describe the former headquarters of the ex-Dina on “Calle Borgoño”. There he was interrogated and tortured, as was his spouse, who was released on May 3rd, 1977. He was never able to leave.
